What's Your Opinion?
Under Pres. Obama's reform program, there will be a Government Health Insurance company that gets huge subsidies of tax money. It will compete with private insurance plans. But the subsidies will let it undercut the private plans and drive them out of business, leaving only the government plan - a single payer - in effect. By doing this, companies will outsource more work and or layoff more employee’s. Why should any company offer to assist an employee with health insurance when the Government version would be a lot cheaper? Why penalize individuals for not having insurance when over 9.5% are unemployed? According to a resent Rasmussen poll, 16M Americans between the ages of 18 and 54 prefer not to have insurance; they prefer a pay-as-you-go system.
Congress and Obama have proposed slashing up to $177 billion in funding for Medicare Advantage programs. The President has stated the purposed plan will not cost the taxpayers anything, because the taxpayer is already paying for it. What he should of said was that “Medicare is going to pay a large portion of it”. Don’t forget, there are 46M retires that pay $98.00 every month and Medicare is the only entity that the Obama Administration doesn’t fully control, yet.
The White House clearly thinks that reforming health insurance is an easier concept to sell to Congress and the American people than a massive revamping of the Health Care System. We've been hearing for months: more health care security and stability, coverage for everyone, no denials for pre-existing conditions, lower costs for patients and less deficit spending for the government is going to save money. Pres Obama has stated that "health insurance reform" will not add to the federal deficit over the next decade. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has stated that the reform plan will add an additional $235B to the national deficit.
Did you know that 9 out of 10 Americans believe that we have the best Health Care System in the world. The question is; why ruin something that works with a reform that is going to cost $1.5 Trillion? Who’s going to pay for that? You are! There’s over 1,100 pages to this reform bill that no one is going to read, just like the stimulus package, no one read that either and it didn’t do a thing for us. Senator N. Pelosi (D) got her 16M for her “Harvest Mouse” project, did you get yours? We though that by electing Pres. Obama that we were going to get tax relief. Guess a fast talking politician fooled us again. Government officials seem to have mastered this.
Today, an estimated 800,000 doctors struggle to treat some of the 250 million Americans who have insurance. Pres. Obama will add some 46+ million more, including 10M – 12M illegal immigrants, to their caseload with no expansion in the number of doctors or nurses. Fewer doctors will have to treat more patients. The inevitable result will be rationing with seniors taking the burden. Some stupid bureaucrat will make your decision, not you.
The United Sates is the land of opportunity and the illegal immigrants are certainly taking full advantage, after all, it doesn’t cost them anything. In Los Angeles, California, over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers. What about the rest of the country? And you wonder why Nancy Pelosi wants them to become voters, still illegal, but vote anyway.
If your thinking that a Government sponsored or socialized Health Care System is good for you, well be prepared for long lines to get to see a Doctor or make an appointment three months in advance for a check up. Ask anyone from England or Canada. As broadcasted on Fox News interviewing a Doctor from Canada, you may have to wait for up to three years for a family doctor and months for an appointment and then months for treatment. And if you are in need of an operation, well you might be surprised to learn that if you’re over a certain age, you could have a long wait. That is because some Government appointed bureaucrat will make your decisions for you. Make sure that you have your cell phone or iphone with you at all times. Never know when you’ll need it, you could die in line waiting for service.
